Woman Killed, Man Seriously Injured In Motorcycle Crash On Long Island: Expressway: Police
The motorcycle struck the back of an SUV that had slowed down in traffic, Suffolk police say.
YAPHANK, NY — A motorcycle crash killed a woman and seriously injured a man on the Long Island Expressway in Yaphank on Sunday night, Suffolk police said.
A 65-year-old Bay Shore man was operating a 2007 Harley-Davidson westbound on the expressway, just west of Exit 68, with Dawn Jimenez-Salta as a passenger on the back, when it struck the rear of a 2016 Lexus SUV that had slowed down due to traffic at
around 5:25 p.m., according to police.
The Lexus then struck the rear of a 2019 Audi SUV, police said.

Jimenez-Salta, 60, of Garden City, was taken to Long Island Community Hospital in East Patchogue where she was pronounced dead, police said, adding, that the man was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
No one else was injured.

All three vehicles were impounded for safety checks, police said.
