Woman Robbed in Shopping Center Parking Lot in E. Patchogue

Police are investigating a robbery that occurred in an East Patchogue parking lot on Tuesday evening.

According to police, a woman was walking to her car at the Swan Nursery Commons shopping center on Montauk Highway at 6:25 p.m. when she was approached by a man who threatened a gun and demanded her purse.

The woman handed him her purse, which contained cash and credit cards, police said.

No gun was seen during the robbery, police said.

The woman was not injured. No arrests have been made. Police did not release a description of the robber.
