2 Arrests after 1 Traffic Stop on Townline Road
The driver and the passenger were carrying heroin, cocaine and marijuana.

An Orangetown police officer stopped a 1997 Ford on Townline Road at about 3:12 a.m. July 12, for driving erratically.
The reason for the erratic driving, police allege, was that the driver, Jason A. Russio, was operating the vehicle while under the influence of drugs. The Maybrook, NY resident was charged with a felony due to a prior conviction for DWI in the past 10 years.
Russio, 25, was also charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, after heroin was found in his possession, and with unlawful possession of marijuana.

A passenger in the vehicle, Eric Silverman, 28 from Nanuet NY, was found to be in possession of a quantity of heroin and cocaine, and was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree.
Russio was arraigned in Orangetown Justice Court and sent to the Rockland County Jail on $10,000 bail.

Silverman was released on $500 bail pending a court appearance Aug. 11 in Orangetown Justice Court.
