2nd Annual Tommy McGuire Turkey Bowl Is Saturday

On Saturday, November 25 students and alumni will gather for the second annual Tommy McGuire Turkey Bowl.

From the Tommy McGuire Turkey Bowl: On Saturday, November 25, at the Clarkstown South Football field, close to 300 students and alumni (comprising of 26 teams in total) will gather for the second annual Tommy McGuire Turkey Bowl.

It's a double elimination flag-football tournament and the winner gets the Tommy Turkey Bowl trophy passed on to them! Spectators can watch the Bowl (admissions fee of $5) and there will be refreshments, raffles, football pools and a bake sale of home baked goods from McGuire's cousins.

The tournament runs from 10 am to 2pm. And immediately following the championship game, an afterparty fundraiser will be held at Lexington Grille and Pub, where a $10 entry fee will get you one drink and access to the all-you-can-eat buffet.

Organizers have also made arrangements with Uber for discounted rides home. McGuire plans to attend both events, and he is betting on his friend's team, the Tennessee Moltisantis (a Sopranos joke between the friends!). All proceeds for both events will go to the McGuire family for Mcguire's medical expenses, through the charitable foundation Help Hope Live. Go here for additional information.
