3 Arrested After Gang Assault: Orangetown Police
A 17-year-old was taken to Nyack Montefiore Hospital with injuries, police said.
ORANGEBURG, NY — Two 17-year-olds and a 20-year-old Tappan resident face charges after what Orangetown police called a gang assault on June 5.
The incident took place near the Joseph Clarke Rail Trail and Greenbush Road, police said. They were called there at 10:11 p.m. A 17-year-old was injured, police said, and was taken to Nyack Montefiore Hospital.
After investigation, police identified three suspects, who turned themselves in Monday at Orangetown Police Headquarters. All three were charged with felony gang assault.

The 20-year-old is Ziad Cecunjanin. Police would not identify the teens as they are eligible for youthful offender status (which can only be granted by a judge).
They were released on bail and are due back in Orangetown town court July 16.
