4 Things To Know About Pearl River's St. Patrick's Parade
Everyone is looking forward to its return after two years of pandemic.

PEARL RIVER, NY — The St. Patrick's Day parade returns to the "most Irish Place in New York" after a forced 2-year hiatus, and here are five things you need to know:
- The parade steps off at 1:30 p.m. Sunday — rain or shine — from the south entrance of the Pfizer parking lot, heads east on East Crooked Hill Road, south on North Middletown Road, west onto East Central Avenue and south onto South Main Street.
- Roads close at noon around the parade route. They may not open for an hour or more after the parade ends.
- On-street parking is available, but make sure you don't violate the full-time or temporary restrictions, because Orangetown police will definitely ticket and tow. Handicapped parking will be available in the parking lot of the Key Bank at 93 N. Middletown Road and the Municipal Parking Lot at the corner of North William Street and East Washington Avenue.
- The Rockland County Ancient Order of Hibernians' honorees for 2022:
- Hibernian Of The Year - Nadine Faughnan-Green
- Businesspersons Of The Year - Peter And Kwan Bellhouse, Kwan Thai Restaurant
- Parade Commander - Suffern Police Sgt. Deirdre Smith-Withers, a recipient of the 2005 Rockland County PBA Medal of Valor
- Rockland County St. Patrick's Day Parade Grand Marshal - Frank McDonagh, an active member of the Pearl River Division III Ancient Order of Hibernians who serves as President of the Hibernian House of Rockland.
- Aide to the Grand Marshal, NYC - Lillian Murphy, a member of The Rockland County Irish American Culture Center and the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, Division 2.
