August 2022 Primary: Early Voting Ends Sunday In Rockland

There are 7 people vying in Congressional District 17 for a ballot line in November; have your say this weekend or on Tuesday.

ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY — Early voting in the August primaries for the 2022 election ends Sunday, so there is still time to vote early if you're a Conservative, Democrat or Republican.

Planning to vote on Tuesday? Use the Polling Place Look-up tool if you don't already know where you're going. Polls will be open in Rockland from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Absentee ballots must be postmarked by Tuesday or dropped off at the Rockland County Board of Elections or a poll site by 9 p.m. The secure drop box will be closed promptly at 9 p.m. on Tuesday and the slot will be locked. After hours drop off is not available on Aug. 23.

Congressional District 17 includes all of Rockland County and there's a primary in each party.

If you vote during the early voting period, you are not eligible to vote on Aug. 23, Primary Day. For the August primary, early voting votes will be canvassed and reported after 9 p.m. Aug. 23.

Early voting is a daytime operation through the weekend in Rockland County:

  1. 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Friday, August 19
  2. 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday, August 20
  3. 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday, August 21
