Barry Fixler, Veteran of the Year, speaks at LIU Hudson at Rockland

On Veteran’s Day, Nov. 11, 2014, The Counseling Honor Society at LIU Hudson at Rockland hosted 2009 Rockland Veteran of the Year, and author of Semper Cool, One Marine’s Fond Memories of Vietnam, Barry Fixler at a presentation and fund raiser on Tuesday, November 11th at the Rockland Campus. Mr. Fixler a Rockland County businessman talked about his experiences as a Vietnam War combat veteran and his efforts recently to raise awareness about the needs of and of severely wounded Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans.
