Boil Water Order Lifted In Orangeburg

It's been three days.

ORANGEBURG, NY — Rockland County health officials have lifted a boil water order that was issued March 7 after a water main broke.

On March 10, 2020, the Rockland County Health Department lifted a boil water order issued on March 7 for the following addresses in Orangeburg:

  • Lester Drive # 1, 3, 4, 6
  • Edgewood Drive # 1, 7, 8, 10, 13, 14, 18, 19, 20, 26, 32, 37, 38, 43, 44, 49, 50, 55, 56, 61, 66, 67, 70, 73, 74, 80, 81, 91, 92, 99, 105, 111, 117, 123, 129, 135, 141, 147, 153, 159, 165, 171, 177, 183, 189.
  • Edgewood Lane # 1, 2, 7, 8, 13, 14, 19, 20.
  • Edgewood Circle # 1, 2, 7, 8, 13, 14, 19, 20, 26, 32, 38.
  • Old Orangeburg Road # 84, 90 to 94, 96, 160, 200.
  • Irvings Way # 1 to 7
  • Chief Bill Harris Way # 160 to 196.
  • Edgewood Court # 10, 14, 18.
  • Edgewood Drive # 100, 106, 112, 118, 124, 130, 154, 160, 166, 172.
  • Orangeburg Road # 34, 40, 46, 49, 51, 52, 53, 55, 57, 58, 61.

Lab results reveal that the water meets all safe drinking water standards, SUEZ officials said. It is no longer necessary for customers at those addresses to boil their water prior to consumption. SUEZ apologized for the inconvenience and thanked customers for their patience.
