Boy, 5, Found Dead Near Home; Amber Alert Discounted
Police near Albany say they are interviewing 'a person of interest' in what had been reported as a kidnapping by masked men.

The 5-year-old who was the subject of an Amber Alert yesterday—the word was that he had been kidnapped by two masked men in black who invaded the trailer where he lived—was found, dead, near his home in Bern, NY.
News sources are reporting that the Albany County Sheriff’s Office is interviewing someone about Kenneth White’s death.
The Amber Alert was flashed all over New York state yesterday afternoon—travelers on the New York Thruway and other major highways saw it on the massive traffic signs that dot the interstates.

According to the original alert,5-year-old Kenneth White had been reported abducted from his home. The report, included in the alert, was that he had been forcibly abducted by two men wearing ski masks and dressed in all black, who forced their way into his home and took him away in a black pickup truck.
Instead, the Albany Times Union reported, his body was found by a K-9 unit near the trailer where he lived.
