Burglary at the Smiley Food Mart on Middletown Road
Cigarettes and cash were targets Dec. 31.
The Smiley Food Mart in Pearl River was burglarized at about 1:30 a.m. Dec. 31.
The robbers got in by breaking the lock on the side door, Orangetown police said.
They removed cash and 20 cartons of cigarettes from the store—and also an ATM, which they opened in the parking lot.

Orangetown detectives and the Rockland County Sheriff BCI Unit are investigating. Anyone with information should call Orangetown Detective Bureau at 845-359-2121.
