Four To Hospital After School Bus Crash

PEARL RIVER, NY — Four students were transported to the hospital for evaluation after a middle-school bus was involved in a crash in Pearl River Thursday afternoon. Superintendent Marco Pochintesta issued a statement for parents and the community.

This afternoon, MS Bus #6 was involved in an accident on Center Street. The bus safety team, Ms. Paese, district administration, the police and EMS reported to the scene where all students were checked. Four students were transported to the hospital for evaluation. The remaining students were picked up at the scene or were transported home on a replacement bus. Chestnut Ridge Transportation is conducting an investigation as is their protocol for all bus accidents. Thank you to Orangetown Police Department and EMS for their prompt response.
