Celebrate Fred Parent, Support Organ Donation
A special event Saturday organized by the family aims to celebrate donors and promote donation in Rockland.

Now Parent's family and two healthy and grateful recipients of his donated organs are joining together to celebrate the hero who changed their lives.

"We each strive to leave something important behind in this world. The Gift of Life from Detective Parent is the ultimate legacy. Just come and ask the two kidney recipients from Rockland how he saved their unique worlds!" said Michael Prendergast, president of the Rockland Organ Donation Alliance and an organ recipient himself. "RODA is dedicated to supporting Organ Donor Families, as well as those waiting 'on the list' and to educating Rocklanders about how valuable each gift is."
