Chris Murphy Sitting in with the Devil's Box String Band Dec. 21

Chris Murphy, violinist, composer, bandleader, who began his life’s remarkable musical journey in Pearl River and took it across the nation, has come home for the Christmas Season.

He will be playing Irish, Bluegrass and Folk music with the “Devil’s Box String Band” at the Brew House on Central Avenue, next to the Fire House, in Pearl River at 6:00 PM on Sunday, Dec 21, [$15 cover]

After graduating from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, Chris became the featured instrumentalist in one of Boston’s largest musical Irish pubs, then moved on to Seattle where he starred in the Music Hall that was part of that city’s largest Irish Pub in its tourist district. Then in search of his music Nirvana, moved to Southern California and successfully established himself as an instrumentalist, composer and band leader in several music genres including Jazz, Irish music, Folk music, Mediterranean music and Classical music.
