Closures on the Palisades Parkway, Ramp from Route 303

The Palisades Interstate Parkway northbound between Exit 5N and Exit 5S and the northbound ramp to the Parkway from Route 303 in Orangetown are expected to close while crews perform construction activities overnight March 28.

First to close will be the Route 303 northbound ramp to the parkway -- starting at 9 p.m. on Monday. It is expected to reopen at 5 a.m. on Tuesday, March 29.

Then the northbound parkway will be closed between Exits 5N and 5S. That closure is scheduled for 11:59 p.m. on Monday, March 28, to 5 a.m. on Tuesday, March 29.

Motorists are advised to follow the posted detours, but anticipate delays.

Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to flaggers and all traffic control devices, including signs.

Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
