Congers Man Accused of Repeat Orangeburg Break-in

Police say he was caught on video.

PEARL RIVER, NY — Darren Dominici, 33, faces charges connected to a repeat break-in at a home in Orangeburg.

Orangetown police said they were called April 25 to a house on Route 303. The homeowner said his house had been entered twice in the past 24 hours. He explained that he had been away overnight and came home at 8:15 a.m. to find damage to a kitchen window, the slider door unlocked, the bedroom rummaged and a safe moved. He then went to work. When he got home at 12:30 p.m., the slider was open and the safe was gone. Cash and jewelry were taken.

The home had a video security system, police said. From it, they identified both a man and a vehicle they suspected were involved.
