Convicted Killer McCain Faces Parole Hearing This Week

After three delays, the parole hearing for convicted murderer Robert McCain is set for this week. McCain was convicted in the killing of Paula Bohovesky of Pearl River in 1980

Convicted murderer Robert McCain was first set to face a parole hearing in June, but it was postponed twice at his request.

The hearing was set for last week, but according to the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, it was moved back to this week due to scheculing changes caused by recent prison closings and a change from two-member panels to three. McCain was moved last year to the Altona Correctional Facility in Altona, NY.

McCain was convicted of the 1980 murder of Paula Bohovesky of Pearl River and sentenced to 25-years-to-life in prison. He became eligible for parole in 2005 and hs the right to a hearing every two years. Richard LaBarbera was also convicted of Bohovesky's murder and was denied parole last May.
