
PEARL RIVER, NY — A Congers man faces charges of attempted murder and assault after an incident Dec. 23.
Police responding to a fight on Central Avenue in Pearl River at 11 p.m. found James. B. Sheridan and a victim. The victim was suffering from numerous wounds, police said. A weapon was found nearby.
The victim was taken to Nyack Hospital for treatment. Sheridan was taken to Orangetown Police Headquarters, where he was charged with attempted murder and first- and second-degree assault. The 40-year-old posted $75,000 bail and is due in Rockland County Court at a future date.
