Donations That Can Save Lives At No Cost

This letter was written by one of my nephews, who is just a regular guy, not an academic or scholar, just someone living in a hospital.

This letter was written by one of my nephews, who is just a regular guy, not an academic or scholar, just someone who is living in a hospital for over four months waiting for a heart transplant. He cannot leave the hospital without one.

You sit, listen, and watch as beautiful healthcare professional people help you get through the day.

Every person that works in this hospital has a good reason. I’m used to everyday life built of freedom and peace even at a time where the world seems to have disagreements as the new norm.

I believe that everything gets better with a positive mindset. There is always a lot to live for in life, especially the people, friends, family that you love.

I speak with no negative opinion but with respect and to help the good, and knowing we must protect our youth. Being in a beautiful hospital, where diversity is the way and negative opinions stay away. Feeling better at every sentence I write; knowing that someday we will need each other for support and survival. The love is out there, let’s use it.

I want to be an advocate for organ donation awareness. One reason is I’ve met many beautiful people that need organs. Being hospitalized with these folks and waiting around is not easy but we’ve made a second home and communicated with each other to pass time. With assurance that your body and organs matter, any organs donated will be respected until the last breath. The Doctors will treat you like you are their own. Let’s hope and pray that you live a good long life. But as we know, things happen and we try to make the best of life.

I am writing today to ask you to consider being an organ donor. It could be a big difference in many lives. It will make you feel kind, helpful and generous. If we help one another, things would be very positive. Thank you for listening. Peace, love and happiness.
