DWI in Pearl River for Long Island Man
He was driving on Middletown Road at 2:29 a.m. when he was stopped.
PEARL RIVER, NY — A Roosevelt, NY resident faces a misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated in Pearl River.
Orangetown police stopped a car at 2:29 a.m. Nov. 24 on Middletown Road because the driver had committed a traffic violation. The officer smelled alcohol on the driver's breath and noted his bloodshot eyes. Asked to take several field sobriety tasks, the driver failed them, police said. At headquarters, he failed a breathalyzer test.
Clayton Townsend, 25, was charged and released. He is due back in Orangetown Justice Court Dec. 14.
