DWI on Route 340 for New Jersey Man

Orangetown police said he drifted off the road and hit a couple of things.

Orangetown Police arrested Alexander Singh, 25, of Dumont, NJ for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, a misdemeanor.

Singh was traveling south on Route 340 in a 2007 Ford Mustang at about 1:20 a.m. Saturday when he drifted off the roadway and collided with a parked vehicle and a mailbox, police said.

Singh failed field sobriety tests and was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. He was then transported to Orangetown Police headquarters where he failed a breathalyzer test.

Singh was charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated based on the results of the breathalyzer test and released to a family member after posting $100 bail. He is due in Orangetown Court on Feb. 10.
