At the end of 2014, a Letter from 2012 Hits a Nerve

The Rockland County Times is getting lots of new responses to an old letter titled "Let's Be Honest, Rockland Sucks."

“...talk about a delayed viral explosion. Over 7,000 Rocklanders have read this Reader’s Letter from 30 months ago in the last two days. We don’t know how it got going,” writes the Rockland County Times on its Facebook page.

The June 21, 2012 letter by Rockland native Lisa Foglia describes the abortive search she and her husband conducted for a home in the county—unsuccessful, she said, because homes in their price range were ridiculously small with ridiculously high property taxes.

“Isn’t it ironic that this is why many people moved to Rockland County from New York City?! They were attempting to get away from what Rockland has now become, an over-populated cesspool of greed,” was her conclusion.
