Evans Park Students to Present to Pearl River School Board

Pearl River Schools were closed Tuesday, so this week's board of education meeting was moved to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the administration building on Crooked Hill Road.
The meeting will include the second presentation on the 2012-13 budget, with the focus on the following topics:

- Enrollment projections
- Debt service costs
- Salaries and staffing
- Benefit costs
- Special education
The third presentation, set for March 6, will focus on athletics, transportation, facilities and calculating the tax levy.
Wednesday's meeting will also feature a presentation entitled Reader's Theater by Evans Park Elementary School students in kindergarten and third grade.

The board will also hear the first reading of a number of policies and will consider the possible use of the Olympus Settlement for a library refund.
