The National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW), Rockland Section will sponsor a meeting to raise awareness about Human Trafficking, a form of modern day slavery whose victims are often invisible and silent. The featured speaker is Beatrice Kahn, Vice President of NCJW, Inc. and chair of the Trafficking Advisory Board promoting the national anti-trafficking initiative called Exodus.
Each year up to 300,000 Americans under 18 are lured into the commercial sex trade and more than10,000 children are brought here from other countries as sex slaves or indentured servants. Exodus aims to heighten awareness, assist victims, and create social change through passage and enforcement of laws.
