Facebook Helps Orangetown Police Nab Suspect in Larceny Case
An anonymous tip led to an arrest.

On Jan. 2, the Orangetown Police Department received a report of a wallet stolen at the Orangeburg Stop and Shop.
During the investigation an anonymous tip on the Orangetown Police Department Facebook page assisted the Investigators in identifying a person of interest.
On January 20, 2015, detectives from the Orangetown Police Department located and arrested Christopher A. Poole of Spring Valley on a charge of Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, a Class E Felony.

Poole was arraigned in front of Orangetown Justice Hon. Patrick J. Loftus and released to return to Orangetown Court Feb. 9.
The Orangetown Police would like to express their appreciation to the public who provided the anonymous information that led to the apprehension of the suspect in this case.
