Felony Assault in Pearl River Bar

A Blauvelt resident has been charged a month later, Orangetown police said.

PEARL RIVER, NY — Burim Sinanaj of Blauvelt faces a felony assault charge after an incident in March in a Pearl River bar.

Orangetown police allege Sinanaj hit someone in the eye on March 19, causing a laceration that was serious enough to need medical attention. The 23-year-old had left the bar by the time police got there.

Police said they arrested him April 19. He was arraigned on a charge of second-degree assault and is due back in town court May 3.
