Fire Destroys House In Sparkill

The call came in at 4:01 a.m., police said.

ORANGETOWN, NY — A fire early Friday morning consumed a house in Sparkill. Orangetown police said the blaze at 14 Robert Hagen Court was reported at 4:01 a.m.

Police and firefighters arrived to find the house fully engulfed in flames, police said. Everyone was out of the house, according to Rockland Fires.

The Sparkill/Palisades Fire Department was assisted by Tappan and Orangeburg. South Orangetown Ambulance Corps and Rockland Paramedic were also at the scene, which was cleared at 8 a.m.

The fire is under investigation by the police department and the Rockland County BCI/Arson Investigation, assisted by the Westchester County Police's arson-trained police dog.
