Freckles & Knots Spa Opens In Pearl River
The spa opened Jan. 10 and has deals for Valentine's Day as well as the entire month
A new spa opened in Pearl River just in time for Valentine’s Day, and is offering a special deal for the holiday, as well as one the entire month.
Sisters-in-law Orla Fitzsimons and Adrienne Fitzsimons Keetley, both of Pearl River, opened on Jan. 10.
Adrienne has worked in spas and said she just always wanted to open one of her own. Orla comes from the field of events planning and marketing, and so they put their two backgrounds together to open Freckles & Knots, which is located at 19 North Williams Street, across the street from Peckman's Liquor Store and connected to the building that houses Joyce Reality.
“It’s an idea that’s been brewing between us for a few years now,” Orla said.
For Valentine’s Day, they’re offering 20 percent off all treatments, but to get the deal you must get the treatment on the 14th. For the month of February, they’re offering 10 percent off on all treatments.
The spa has four treatment rooms, including a double room so couples or friends can be treated together. They offer couples packages as well.
It also has a large relaxation area that Orla describes as cool and calm and has “warm hues."
The large relaxation area is also good for parties, Orla said, which the spa can do, whether it’s a birthday party or just a fun day at the spa for a group of people.
The spa offers massages, facials and waxing. In the spring, they’ll expand to also do manicures, pedicures and makeup. They have Dermalogica products for sale.
In just a few weeks, Adrienne and Orla say the response to the spa has been very positive, with one customer telling them he felt like he was in a Manhattan spa. They also said they’ve been complimented on the spa’s prices, selection and service. They have five workers at the spa, all experienced and licensed.
Another reason Adrienne thinks the response has been positive so far is because they’re both local.
“We both have children in the school district,” she said. “It’s a nice close-knit community where people like to help out their neighbors and people they know.

- Tuesday: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Wednesday-Friday: 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- Saturday: 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Sunday: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
