Fundraising For Family Of Pearl River Teen Killed In Crash
Family and friends mourned at his funeral Wednesday.

PEARL RIVER, NY — An account set up on GoFundMe for the family of the Pearl River teenager killed in a fiery crash Oct. 13 surpassed its goal in just one day.
"We need your help to support their family in this rough time. All proceeds will be going to help pay for medical bills and the funeral costs," said organizer Ashley Barresi.
Altin Nezaj, 17, died Sunday when a 2017 Porsche SUV driven by a schoolmate plunged off Route 304 onto the New Jersey Transit train tracks at 3:25 p.m. The car overturned and caught fire. Saniha Cekic, 15, of Brooklyn, also died. Driver Aisha Radoncic, 17, remained in critical condition at Westchester Medical Center, Orangetown police said Oct. 14.

So far, 477 donors have contributed to the fund, which has raised $31,136 of its $20,000 goal. Donations were coming in even as family and friends packed into F. Ruggiero & Sons Funeral Home in Yonkers.
