The proceeds of the tournament benefit the PEARL RIVER ROTARY SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION, which supports deserving students who live in the Pearl River School District.

Paying for college became more affordable for 20 deserving students earlier this year when they were each awarded a $3000 scholarship. The awards, totaling $60 000, came solely from The Rotary Scholarship Foundation, which today holds in excess of 1.2 million in funds.

Donations and proceeds from events such as the golf tournament and other fundraising events during the year provide the funding for Memorial Scholarships, given by Rotary members and friends. All annual awards are made from the earnings of the fund. The principal will remain in perpetuity to generate earnings for future awards.

The Pearl River Rotary Club is committed to the original belief espoused by ED BOUTON, that no deserving youngster should be denied an education because of lack of funds.
