I Hope Your Summer Was Incredible

Hello Friends,

I hope everyone had a relaxing and enjoyable Labor Day weekend; I was fortunate enough to attend Piermont’s PAL music festival, which was an absolute blast! I just want to thank everyone who helped make this past summer so amazing for both myself and for the prospects of my candidacy. My volunteers have made a point to say how great the campaign has been, and how much they have enjoyed talking with my supporters and the local townspeople.

While it’s unfortunate that the summer is winding down, but it does signal that it’s time to kick off a new school year, which, admittedly, can be both invigorating and a bit hectic. But it’s no reason to be glum, as we have the benefit of a wonderfully exciting Fall season ahead of us: Orangetown’s always excellent football and soccer teams are in gear, and, of course, the rapidly approaching November election, and my chances look more and more promising with each passing day—which wouldn't be possible without the unwavering help and support of each and every one of you. Also, any and all donations, no matter the size, are greatly appreciated! As a smaller, grassroots campaign that’s not beholden to special interest groups, we rely on the passion and commitment of our followers, which means every single dollar counts

Speaking of the November election, circle Tuesday, Sept. 10 on your calendars, because there is a very important Independence Party primary for Receiver of Taxes. All you have to do is go to your local polling location (the same place you vote in general elections) and write in my name on the ballot. Winning this primary, and putting me on the ballot for Receiver of Taxes on the Independence Party line, will be a huge step toward securing a victory in November!

Lastly, I wanted to say that I am incredibly humbled to be selected as one of Rockland County’s “40 Under 40,” which honors individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to professional excellence and community involvement in Rockland County. Of course, my dedication to our wonderful county isn't predicated upon recognition, but I am truly grateful to be a part of this prestigious awards process, and I would like to congratulate the other 39 deserving honorees, as well, for receiving this award. This entire process is what makes Rockland, and Orangetown specifically, such a special place to live.

I won’t take up much more of your time, as I’m sure you are trying to keep track of a tidal wave of soccer matches, recitals, and socials. Thanks again, everyone, and if you have any questions about myself,my platform, or general election information, please, don’t hesitate to ask! It is my genuine pleasure to answer any questions you might have!

Best,

Chris Smith
