Learn Alzheimer’s Effective Communications Strategies
Attend this educational event in Blauvelt on Wednesday, June 19th at 10 AM.

Join the Sisters of Saint Dominic and the Alzheimer's Association Hudson Valley NY Chapter for "Effective Communication Strategies" on Wednesday, June 19th at 10 AM in the Huston Room at St. Dominic Convent (496 Western Highway, Blauvelt, NY) - please use the Lavelle Entrance.
At this event, you will learn that communication is more than just talking and listening - it's also about sending and receiving messages through attitude, tone of voice, facial expressions, and body language. As people with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias progress in their journey and the ability to use words is lost, families need new ways to connect. Join us to explore how communication takes place when someone has Alzheimer's, learn to decode the verbal and behavioral messages delivered by someone with dementia, and identify strategies to help you connect and communication at each stage of the disease.
This event is free to the public, but RSVP is necessary. To RSVP or if you have any questions, contact the Alzheimer's Association at 800-272-3900.
