Lincoln Avenue Fills Up PRHS Auditorium for Talent Show
Lincoln Avenue Elementary School held its annual talent show at 6 p.m. on March 28 in the Pearl River High School auditorium.
The Pearl River High School parking lot was filled and the auditorium was buzzing. One would think PRHS's production of Cinderella ran for another night, but it was the Lincoln Ave Elementary School kids bringing down the house with a night of amazing talent.
Talents ranged from musical performances, singing, dancing to Top 100 songs and old favorites, and a very funny rendition of a scene from Beverly Hills Cop. One of the final acts incorporated hula hoops and jump rope to a Katy Perry song.
"It's American Idol, only a couple years early," joked Jim King, who's daughter Alli danced to the Avril Lavigne hit "Sk8tr Boi."

Alli King practiced with her friends three nights a week for two hours each time in preparation for the talent show. Fiona O'Reilly, who was also in the group and sported colored streaks in her hair to match her costume, couldn't stop smiling after performing.
"They did a great job," said her father Frank O'Reilly. "I couldn't be more proud."

Every year, Lincoln Ave showcases their students in their annual talent show. Due to the popularity, the show grew exponentially and eventually was too big for the elementary school setting, so it was moved into the high school's auditorium.
This year's talent show took place 6 p.m. March 28.
