A Local Foundation Everyone Can Appreciate
This Foundation Touches Everyone - one of the great things about this organization is its willingness to help others have better destinies.
I am thrilled to share this story with everyone given to me by Martina Collins.
“Coming from nothing as a child and thinking it was really bad, and then seeing the pictures of the poor starving children in India, put things in perspective for me and I knew I had to do something”, says Martina Collins, President of the MOM Foundation (MOM).
In June, 2019, the MOM Foundation was founded and received its non-profit status. It is a local organization that provides support to women, children and families in our community and abroad, including India, Africa and, most recently, Italy. All of our efforts and donations are guided by our mission statement,

“…to educate women and children and empower them to become leaders with an emphasis on improving their economic conditions and transforming their lives.”
Our local efforts have helped the South Orangetown Food Pantry, The Maggie Conway House, Good Counsel, and the family of Jared Lloyd, along with financial support to many local families in need. During the early stages of the pandemic, the MOM Foundation made and distributed over 1,000 masks and delivered food and Shoprite gift cards to local families in need. We provided lunches and dinners to show our appreciation to many of our front-line workers at Montefiore Nyack Hospital, Good Samaritan Hospital and the Dominican Convent Infirmaries in Blauvelt and Sparkill.
