The Mickey Sullivan Duathalon at Pearl River Middle School

Team KJ’s Fight against Huntington’s Disease continued with a great turnout at the Mickey Sullivan Duathalon at Pearl River School Oct. 12.

The USA Triathlon sanctioned event was a 2-mile run, then 10-mile bike followed by another 2-mile run.

As the Team KJ mission statement says: “Team KJ is a group of friends and family that participate in and sponsor events in an effort to raise money to find a cure for Huntington’s Disease.

“Our goal is to help support the families in our community effected by this disease and continue to support medical research that will ultimately find a cure. Team KJ was formed in support of and is named for Kara Jean Fleming who is fighting her own battle against HD.”
