New Jersey SUV Sought In Pearl River Hit-and-Run

The pedestrian suffered serious injuries in the collision Friday afternoon, police said.

PEARL RIVER, NY — Orangetown police are investigating a hit-and-run accident that injured a pedestrian at about 5 p.m. Friday. It took place at the intersection of Franklin Avenue and South John Street.

Witnesses described a silver Hyndai SUV with New Jersey plates driven by a white woman with glasses who kept going on Franklin, police said.

The person struck by the car was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital with serious injuries.
