New Pearl River Superintendent Sworn In Monday

Pearl River School District Clerk, Mary Flanagan, swore in a new superintendent on Monday, July 14, 2014. Marco F. Pochintesta was appointed by the Board of Education at their meeting on Tuesday, June 10. 

Mr. Pochintesta's duties began Monday as the superintendent of schools for the Pearl River school district. He replaces superintendent John Morgano. 

His credentials include serving as the superintendent in the Wappingers Central School District, While there, Pochintesta served as high school principal, assistant superintendent for business and interim superintendent.

Plans are in place for a welcoming reception for Mr. Pochintesta in September.

“I look forward to working with the Board of Education, administration, faculty, staff, students, and parents to move the mission of this district forward,” Pochintesta said.
