NJ Man Leaves Scene Of Accident, Drives Drunk: Police
Police got a call from someone in the neighborhood who heard a crash.

PEARL RIVER, NY — A New Jersey man was arrested after allegedly leaving the scene of an accident. Orangetown Police Department said Seog Cheol Hong, 54, of Old Tappan, NJ was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and leaving the scene of a property damage accident, a traffic infraction.
Police said they were called by a Tappan resident after hearing a loud crash and seeing a vehicle leaving the scene of an accident on Livingston Street in Tappan.
A 2016 Hyundai Tucson was found disabled on Oak Tree Road with heavy front-end damage and leaking engine fluids.

It was determined that Hong was the driver and that he had struck a utility pole on Livingston causing it to break in half.
Hong was arrested and taken to Orangetown Police Headquarters where he refused to submit to a breath alcohol test.

He is due to answer the charges in Orangetown Court July 10.
