O&R, Con Ed Sends Crews South to Help with Hurricane Recovery
About 100 employees left Sunday for Virginia and North Carolina.

PEARL RIVER, NY — Orange and Rockland Utilities and Con Edison have sent about 100 company personnel and contractors to the Tidewater region of southeast Virginia and northeastern sections of North Carolina impacted by Hurricane Matthew.
Crews will be assisting utilities in restoring power to approximately 300,000 customers affected by flooding, wind and rain in those areas. They were expected to leave New York Sunday afternoon.
