HUDSON VALLEY, NY — The Business Ethics Council of Orange & Rockland Utilities donated more than 150 new and lightly used adults’ and children’s winter coats to local programs for neighbors in need.

"The winter coat drive is more than just making sure that people who don’t have winter coats get them to stay warm," Karen Galeazzi, the coordinator for the O&R Business Ethics Council’s winter coat drive, told Patch. "The drive reminds us of our obligation to help our needy neighbors and it reminds those neighbors that they are not forgotten, that they matter and that we care."

About 20 O&R volunteers pitched in to pack up the coats last week.
