O'Flynn Keeps Pearl River Unbeaten
Pearl River defeated Clarkstown South, 2-1, on Katie O'Flynn's RBI double in the bottom of the seventh Friday.
Senior pitcher Katie O'Flynn kept Pearl River in Friday's game against Clarkstown South with her arm, then won it with her bat.
With the game tied in the bottom of the seventh, junior center fielder Kristyn Neroda doubled to lead off with a double. O'Flynn followed with one-out RBI double to to give the Pirates a 2-1 victory over Clarkstown South at Pearl River.
Samantha McDonald had given Clarkstown South a 1-0 lead with a home run in the top of the fourth inning, but Nicole Leote doubled home Kaity Goldrick to tie the game at 1-1 in the bottom of the fourth.

McDonald also doubled, accounting for two of the five hits the Vikings managed against O'Flynn, who struck out three in seven innings for the victory. She improved her record to 6-0 on the season while helping the Pirates to remain unbeaten at 7-0.
