Once again, the Celebrity Life...

I have officially come home to Rockland County, NY to attend a Maccabiah function. There were a few athletes there, but mainly parents and family members. As athletes we had to introduce ourselves with a short description. There were many young athletes in the Youth/Junior division who were around the ages 16-18 playing sports such as futsal, soccer, golf, volleyball, and gymnastics. I even got to meet some older athletes in the Masters and Grand Masters division for golf and soccer. The oldest competitor for the Grand division in golf is 90 years old! Anyway,I introduced myself as a thrower in the Open Division and probably the only female thrower for Team USA. Of course, this rises some eyebrows and such, but I remind myself all the time, keep a level head. I'm not cut out for the celebrity life. Anyway, I just think about last weekend's NCAA National Championship for shot put. What was the winning throw? 60'8''. I'm not even close to that. So again, going as an athlete over to Israel for the Maccabiah Games is about the experience. I want to make it worth while. After all, three weeks will go by in a blink and I want to soak it all in.
