The Story of three Immigrants [now American Citizens] from the City of Palermo in Sicily at the toe of Italy & the city of Kukes in Albania

Let's begin with John Carollo, who immigrated to the USA, Brooklyn specifically, at the age of 13 not speaking a word of English. With the help of the Lafayette High School and the College of St. Francis, John easily enter the world of Banking upon graduation.
John, born over a Pasta store, soon knew that he preferred an apron and chef's hat more that a suit and tie. Ergo John owned and operated what became a popular pizzeria/restaurant in the hamlet of Hewlett in Hempstead Long Island. It was named "Cafe Taco". It was just the beginning. Next came the "Kay Pizzeria" in Fairlawn New Jersey. Both were warm-ups for the fantastic Del Arte's restaurant in Orangeburg, Rockland County, New York.
Now let's read about two Brothers, starting with the older, Scott Nela, who immigrated to the USA in 2000 at the age of 19 with no English speaking skills. Younger Brother Matt soon followed in 2004 at the age of 21, with no English speaking skills.

Soon after there were two pizzeria/restaurants in Hackensack and Wayne, both in New Jersey, both with the name "Taste of Tuscan", both still owned/operated by the Nela Brothers.
What did these 3 have in common besides the above?

It was their belief that in America you can build a great life if you are willing to work hard with high integrity. Inas much I know much more about John than the Vela Brothers, I feel free to share my observation. John embraced America as a land of opportunity and built more than a fantastic restaurant. John and his beloved wife Ro, reached out to the community with open arms so well that their restaurant came a community family dining room.
They were always there when tragedy struck and there to celebrate the happy times.
I see the same from the Nela Brothers who have purchased Del Arte's, have a desire to be more than a restaurant business. They too want to be part of the community family.
