PEARL RIVER, NY — After a break-in on Sherwood Lane, Orangetown Police are warning homeowners to take some common-sense means to protect their property as the days get shorter.
Police responded to a burglar alarm at 6 Sherwood Lane Sept. 30. They found the french doors at the back of the house had been broken. Video surveillance showed that two men had been dropped off by a car, went around back and smashed the glass on the doors.
They apparently fled with the audible alarm went off, police said.
