Orangetown To Hold Veterans Day Ceremony
World War I ended 101 years ago Monday. The Orangetown event is the day before.
It's been 101 years since World War I ended on Nov. 11, 1918. In honor of Veterans Day, Orangetown will hold its memorial ceremony starting at 10 a.m. Sunday.
The event at Orangetown Town Hall in Orangeburg is hosted by the Raymond W. DeMeola VFW Memorial Post 1615 of Blauvelt.

Sunday, November 10:
- 9:45 am - 73rd Annual Jewish War Veterans Membership Breakfast; PFC Fred Hecht Post #425 - 18 Montebello Rd, Suffern.
- 12 pm - Rockland County Veterans Coordinating Council honors Veteran of the Year: Roy Tschudy 11 New Hempstead Rd, New City.
- 2 pm – Honor the descendants of the veterans who served in WWII -Sloatsburg Senior Center 8 Liberty Rock Rd, Sloatsburg.
- 11 am - Ceremony of Our Fallen Veterans at Calico Hill Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Railroad Ave in Garnerville.
- 11 am - Congers Veterans Memorial Association Wreath Laying ceremony to commemorate Vets Day – 65 Lake Rd, Congers.
- 11 am – Veterans Day Parade and Ceremony kicking off from Suffern Village Hall at 10:45 am and proceed to Soldiers Monument
- 11:30 am - 28th Annual Rockland County Marine Corps Birthday Luncheon with Rockland County Marine Corps League - 81 Call Hollow Rd, Pomona.
