Orangetown Meetings Week Of Jan. 1: Zoning, Architectural Review, More

PEARL RIVER, NY — As the new year begins, our local officials are still busy conducting the public's business in plain sight.

John Adams famously wrote, "Liberty cannot be preserved without a general knowledge among the people, who have a right … and a desire to know."

There are plenty of upcoming chances to help tend to our democracy close to the roots. Three public meetings are scheduled for this week in Orangetown.

The Project Review Committee meets 9:30 a.m. Jan. 4 in the Greenbush Auditorium, 20 Greenbush Road, Orangeburg. The committee will be reviewing, for the Jan. 11 Planning Board meeting, site plans for 80 Old Mountain Road, Databank Orangeburg, South Corner and Gatto Lane.

The Zoning Board of Appeals meets at 7 p.m. Jan. 4, Greenbush Auditorium. Public hearings are scheduled on three applications:

• Castillo

The Architectural Review Board meets 7:30 p.m. Jan. 5, Greenbush Auditorium. Four documents are attached to the agenda:
