Orangetown Planning Board Moves March 11 Meeting on Anellotech

Final site plan approval for the research facility's expansion is on the agenda.

The Orangetown Planning Board meets at 7:30 p.m. March 11.

Among other items, the board will be considering an application for final site plan approval for the expansion of Anellotech, the research facility on the Pfizer campus working on a green technology process to produce chemicals from non-food biomass instead of petroleum.

The Planning Board issued a negative declaration on the site plan in September saying an environmental impact statement would not be needed. Community coalition Stop Anellotech filed an Article 78 petition in Rockland County Supreme Court in January trying to overturn that decision.
