Overnight Snow Chances for Pearl River Before Severe Cold Sets In
Get ready for much colder weather in Orangetown.

PEARL RIVER, NY — Before we get to the brutally cold weather that’s heading our way, we have the possibility of some light snow in the offing for much of the Hudson Valley.
And the forecasts are a mixed bag, depending of course on your location.
Rockland residents could see a little snow before 4 a.m. Wednesday, while Putnam and the Mid-Hudson Valley might see the white stuff before midnight, or even affecting the evening commute.

For northern Westchester, there’s a slight chance of snow Tuesday between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. For southern Westchester County, there’s a chance of rain before 9 p.m., then a chance of snow through early Wednesday morning.
This seems to be the pattern for the week, with daytime temperatures falling due to polar air moving into the area.
Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather said the afternoon temperatures starting Thursday will be in the teens to low 20s, and with the wind chill factored in, even colder.

The cold will last into Friday, at which point we face another wintry system, with snow, ice and rain possible.
