Pearl River Board of Education to Review Policies, Recognize Award Winners

Pearl River High School senior Molly Shine and Pearl River Middle School will be recognized for awards they recently earned at the board of education meeting 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Pirate Cove.

The Pearl River Board of Education will hear first readings of 20 board policies as part of its regular meeting 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Pirate Cove at the high school.

The policies range from educational philosophy to personnel evaluations and media relations. The full list and the full agenda for the meeting can be found here.

The board will recognize Pearl River High School senior Molly Shine, who received an ESPNHS Monday Night Football Chalk Talk RISE Above award last week.

There will also be a presentation to Pearl River Middle School, which was named a 2011 National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence by the U.S. Department of Education Sept. 15.
