Pearl River Boys Golf Surpasses 2010 Victory Total

The Pearl River boys golf team found mixed results when it took on Nanuet and Tappan Zee Wednesday at Blue Hill Golf Course in Pearl River.

Pearl River's team score of 224 was enough to beat Nanuet, which shot 231 as a team, but not enough against Tappan Zee, which had the low team score of the day at 207. The split moved the Pirates to 4-1, giving them more victories than they had during the entire 2010 season. Tappan Zee is 4-0 on the season and Nanuet fell to 0-4.

Parker Mann of Tappan Zee shot the low individual score at 39, just ahead of temmate Luke Grennan's 40. Shane Kennedy of Pearl River, Stephen Keary of Tappan Zee and Mike Smith of Nanuet all shot 41 on the par-36 course.
